Now is the time, more than I can remember in my 84 years, that all types of media editors, publishers and journalists must go one step beyond “even handed” news. If the protection of our Democracy is their aim, then it’s time for them to “stand tall” and not promote, through overexposure, the bombastic lies that generate the tools of manipulation. They must forcefully show what freedoms will be lost by the lies of the MAGA cult. PACs that want to see candidates elected who want our Democracy to flourish must not only show the positives of those candidates but must equally show the negatives, that history proves will occur, if the MAGA candidate is elected.

The most effective calls for justice are accompanied by the most stark illustrations of what is a stake. This is not the time for speaking softly.

The marauding monster walks among us. It is well past the time for the MEDIA to call out Trump for what he really is; rather than celebrating him in one context or another on a daily basis. Trump has draped a draconian pall across our land. We must not cave into his devilish ways. To be over-ridden by this evil incarnate would set forth wholesale destruction of our constitutional democracy. The louder his voice, the louder ours must become.

One of Trump's favorite words is unfair. He's always being treated unfairly. That's why we must give him fair trials. He can't have anything to complain of, although he will complain. It's a feature of his life that he's a cheat and a liar, but always complains about being cheated.📽️

407,316 American soldiers died fighting fascism. 670,846 were wounded. Fascism is nationalism that suppresses all opposition and is overseen by a far right authoritarian. I would bet that not one of those Nazi flag carrying, conspiracy spewing, chaos and violence advocates, does not have a past relative who fought against what they are now wishing upon America. Their leader calls them patriots. They are not. Patriots obey the law, respect the rights of others, are honest, tolerant, moral. Since 50% of Americans have IQs below the norm of 100, I have to believe these people make up trump's base. MTG is said to have an IQ of 80. A loud call for fixing public education. But not all fit into this category. Many Republicans are against trump, either because they do not agree with him or, sadly, he loses elections that would have given them powerful jobs and money.

We in this group, can recite the villainy of trump's worshipers, complain about his moronic narcisistic mutterings, recognize his sociopathic condition, but to what end? We speak to the choir. What needs done are ways to change the minds of his followers. How? Poll workers are threatened. Names must not be disclosed . Vitriolic retribution awaits those who speak out. I, myself, am afraid to put a Move On free sticker on my car for fear some loathsome primate will smash the window. Will fear of trump's "I am your retribution" make us like the Jews of Europe, the University profs in Florida who do not speak out against the governor for limiting their teaching? Are we afraid of police who shoot first, sic dogs, border guards that push a 14 year old trying to make her way to America, back into the river to drown?

We must stop talking and begin doing. " The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything."

But how?

What a sad, sick man he is. Whenever did we find anything to admire in this hull of a man? Yet he has wooed and won millions with his tormented rhetoric. How can a country repair the tears in our delicate democracy? Are we strong enough to band with brothers and sisters to gently mend the broken and torn fabric of the soul of this country? There is much to be done; but first, we need to realize how far, how deep and how real our country needs to face the insanity we have experienced in these past few years. Then, we must find our way forward together as one people again seeking a higher plain.
