I watched a few minutes of the video, that’s all I could stand. His image, body and voice is frightening. The words make it only worse. It’s a sickening video and filled with distorted information. On the other hand it may show that we are having an effect on the people. Despite all the bluster the subtext is that, despite all the things wrong with trump, vote for him anyway.

When he talks about those who love America and those who hate it, it is role reversal. They are the ones who hate America. America is freedom, it’s the right to choose. They want to take all that away from us. Klingenstein came out of the shadows, we need to expose exactly who he is.

We do great things, exceptional things when we come together. We won world wars, we went to the moon; when we came together!

Steven:

Another excellent piece.

Claremont is a Federalist Society for college-age students. Read Tina Nguyen’s memoir for an analysis. The video is not surprising as there are those who want to amend the Constitution to allow Trump in essence as many terms as he’d like. As I’ve said, November is Biden or Dictatorship and with Project 2025, the next successful R President will implement it (whether TFG or someone else) so really it’s permanently D’s or Dictatorship now. Steven, never fear to amplify what NEEDS to be said, especially now! Thank you!

What a perfect picture. Benito standing on a balcony, hand raised, blessing his beloved, uneducated, military clothed,AR-15 rifle holding ketchup eaters. Behind the door are the Klingensteins eager for power & yet, more wealth, eating crudite offerings, fake Mar a Lago women, has been celebrities & Lara on X telling those outside to save up $5 to send to daddy in law. Playing on a screen is future camp guard, MTG, doing pushups.

Theirs is not my America nor one envisioned by our founders. Unrealized by the cult is there is no plan to make life better for them.

What a nightmare.

What more to say, Steven. Government of, by and for the people is in dire peril this November. This election may be our last chance to escape living under the thumb of autocrats, and subservient to the whims of the mega-wealthy. Only WE can save us!

You’re not the only talking about this today. Joyce Vance also posted it and commented, much like you did expressing her concerns. I only watched a few seconds of it before I was ranting. These people are stupid rich and equally dangerous. This is some serious stuff we’re dealing with this year. Thank you for always speaking the truth. As much as I hate it I will be sharing it. People need to see and hear it.

So a rich billionaire is saying, I'm "America’s evil enemy"? That's absurd. However in our Democracy his wealth can buy him a microphone and a platform to spew his mentally deranged message. I agree with you Steven, the threat is real and we can't look away; our future depends on it.

It doesn’t attract me to fascism one iota.

It helps to explain and warn US, especially WE THE PEOPLE who love America’s great experiment in DEMOCRACY.

There will always be an anti-democracy movement by royalty, criminals, insane profit-mad capitalists, dictators, oligarchs, outlaws, mean people and bad people.

The only way to deal with them is to VOTE them OUT.

Excellent piece, once again. Someone needs to make a video of the one that you are talking about juxtaposed with videos of Hitler, and end the video with the ruins of 1945 Germany.

Please amplify the rhetoric of insane, powerful men. Why would anyone want war? That in itself is a sure sign of mental illness.

It amazes me, these folks want fascism because they perceive their loss of freedom. I'm not referring to the millionaires who support this fool because they see themselves as future oligarchs. trump's followers do not want freedom they want to be told what to do and how to think. Such hypocrisy and ignorance of critical thinking is abhorrent to those that actually do question authority, the woke. Bottom line it's about racism. trump's cult does understand that and is all for taking freedom from others.

First, Klingenstein spoke of “truth” and “Trump” in the same sentence. Second, while we shouldn’t necessarily shoot the messenger, I’d hazard a guess that Klingenstein’s parents or grandparents were immigrants. With vitriol like he’s spewing and reflecting back on his probable heritage, he should know better. Fascism is fascism, no matter how you paint it.

Steven, I think what you have described is a political "cold" war, supported by about 30% of the population which believe they enjoy a right to be superior to everyone else. Trump gives these folks a voice, and when he is sent to jail, there will be a vacuum. I hope we can avoid a Northern Ireland situation.

This despicable lying supporter of the despicable lying Donald Trump, expects that his vile excitement about ruining Democracy clarifies something . Maybe , but not how he thinks .

It lets all of us who believe in diversity and equality and honesty

In government , be even more aware of these wealthy benefactors of fascism.

How anyone can justify the crazy hate of fascism is beyond any reason.

And he offers no substance , only delusion.

Which for Trumpers is par for their twisted course.

I was unable to watch the video .

I refuse to see more evil persuasion by a mentally ill mirror of Trump. The whole point of all of this is contagious Narcissism.

It is truly a truly evil exercise to watch these people blaspheme this into a

“religious event “, when it is reality in a disturbed cult .

Thank you for your writing and to your readers for commenting. On FB, I wrote Trump has given permission for society to hate racial and cultural minorities, exhort violence and continue to lie about the election results. Below, Mike Yochim talked role reversal-here is a real life example from today's FB. I am quoting from the FB response quite critical of my Trump comments--..."Neither you nor I know first hand what happened and when. We only know what we hear on our chosen media and what books we read authored by chosen biographers... This seemingly innocuous answer provides internal and external cover and total deniability for disagreeing with your column and reader comments. All the alleged inhuman comments by Trump and lies and misinformation are products of the media. Since both sides have their own media and favorite writers, Trumpers are reinforced and given permission to only believe their media.

This reminds me of the efforts (too successful) of the planter class in the South to re-establish their power after the Civil War. They wanted their power back from the people who benefitted from reconstruction, especially blacks. These present-day rich white men have the same goals: to return themselves to power and undo the progress we've made. We must stop them this time.
