AG Garland seems to be living in some past where there was no 24/7 media, less pervasive propaganda actively shaping public opinion, and certainly is from a time where the nation was less polarized. The reality is anything but, and in the absence of any clear message to the contrary an information vacuum will be created and filled, as it has been here. This is destructive. And it's real. And managing perceptions is or needs to be someone's job. Simply harkening back to a time when a more private and trustworthy process would have been assumed, in light of today's realities, is really just a fantasy. It doesn't pass the smell test. We're awake now. We the American people are crying out for information that there is at least an active, rigorous investigative process underway. But our pleas are ignored. We've seen with Barr and Mitchell before him how the process can be interfered with, the scales tipped, so no we won't just accept that with a click of the heels and a snap of the fingers we're suddenly back in some more honorable and dignified golden time. Sorry, we are where we are and we won't be able to trust the process again for a long time where we can be assured and trust officials. Even if such an investigative process were to result in no charges against Trump, somehow, enough Americans might be able to accept the outcome if we believed that a transparent and rigorous process was followed. But we don't really know this. No one is saying anything. The issues here are complex, we get it. AG Garland needs to update the nation regularly.

From here it appears DOJ is protecting their colleagues including Acosta, Barr, Dershowitz, Thomas, Trump etc. Fear of riots is a lame bs excuse. We all know damn well Trump raped those children why we’re expected to be polite about it I swear to Christ…
