I feel guilty. Just like the Republicans immediately jumped on the search of Mar a Lago, calling for revenge, future impeachment, demise of the FBI and causing some poor sap to shoot em' up out in Ohio, I , believe I was too quick to judge & blame Merrick Garland for stalling, fearing political accusations, and not taking trump immediately to task for his criminal activities, for not hitting the ground running. We are an impatient people, upset if our computer takes time to warm up, upset that we might have to wait in line at a restaurant or a super market, if our flight is delayed.
I should have had more confidence in a man who graduated summa cum laude from Harvard,(I have great confidence in those who graduate as such. My surgeon for breast cancer came summa cum laude from Harvard Medical School, and I'm still here 23 years later! ) magna cum laude from Harvard law school, was one of the best appellate judges in the country, and fighter against domestic terrorism (Oklahoma bombing ), a man deprived of office who was once chosen by President Obama, a decent man revered around the world.
While we were pushing, he and the FBI it seems, were building a case all along, doing their job, But with all the turmoil, it is right that he made a statement, offered to show the warrant, defended the FBI. With imitation news Fox and its comedians, Carlson, Ingraham, Hannity, with Rubio (may he lose "bigly" ), McCarthy, Lake, and the rest of the cult spreading lies, making up conspiracy theories, calling for war, prophesying the end of the democracy,may their faces be red and may their followers see through them.
The rabid bunch will probably say he is lying, but hopefully, those with some integrity left, though hidden for 7 years, will retract, apologize, think twice next time. It is a time for them to disavow trump and his fascist, criminal doings, and get out from under his thumb. Perhaps we could again become the land of the free, the home of the brave, and find brotherhood from sea to shining sea.

Garland could’ve charged Trump with the fully investigated proven crimes in Mueller any day over the last 18 months. Color me skeptical he’s going to do anything now. We’ll see.
A totally legal and very well thought out move by AG Merrick Garland. While the DOJ would have kept all of this out of the public view, as is their approach, the former president made the search of his home public. Once in the public domain, the DOJ has every right to unseal the results of the search. And it was so important that he made the statement about protecting the DOJ and all of the FBI agents and others who work every day to protect out safety. We must return to normalcy in our country. Thank you AG Merrick Garland. Thank you to all who work in the DOJ for your adherence to the law and your commitment to our safety and security. You are true patriots and I wish you the safety you are entitled to as you perform your critical taks to keep us safe.
