The need for ethics on the Supreme Court, especially when a spouse is seeking to abet the overthrow of a democratically elected government, could not be more obvious
Rant, rave from dems and stupidity from Trumplicans! That's all we get out here in the great mass of Americans just trying to get along with $5 a gallon gas and higher everything. A bunch of so called democrats (I spelled it with a small "d" because party doesn't seem to mean anything any more) saying all of this is just awful, wringing their hands, and yet no one convenes a special prosecutor, a grand jury, investigations, nada. Most of us out here in this great country are getting more and more skeptical and increasingly cynical of what these "leaders" are going to do about saving our democracy. We are more concerned about Ukraine than America, and they are willingly fighting for their form of democracy. Why can't we? Everyone is afraid of upsetting Moscow Mitch and the headline grabbing Senator from West Virginia or any of the idiotic Trumplicans continuing to spread their lies, conspiracy theories and sedition without recourse. Our country is burning and those in so called leadership positions in Washington are fiddling, including our president. When is someone up there going to grow some balls and/or ovaries to do something and put an end to this madness? Steven, please tell me this is going to change and that you have seen something on the inside that will encourage us and that will start the healing. Do you see anything?
We desperately need Democrats who can rise to the occasion. Impeach him, who cares he won’t be removed. Get his perfidy on the record. We’re adhering to norms that no longer exist.
and what if Justice Clarence Thomas doesn't recuse himself from any cases about the 2020 election that come to the Supreme Court? will this destroy our 3 co-equal branches of government? where are the checks and balances? does it all rest on Justice Clarence Thomas' moral compass? what about the oath he took when he assumed his seat on the Supreme Court? doesn't that mean anything any longer? Would anyone care to explain why Ginni Thomas should not be prosecuted for the crime of conspiring to overthrow our duly elected government?
Equally, why shouldn't Justice Thomas - unless he resigns immediately himself - be impeached? Simple talk of "recusal" is not enough. How could this man ever be trusted to adjudicate impartially?
